WHY SHOULD YOU TAKE THIS COURSE?
Safety on the road must be high on the list of priorities for any employer. This module will reinforce safe driving techniques and provide information on the hazards employees may encounter whilst on the road.
There is a lot of legislation around the use of vehicles at work and their maintenance. Importantly, this includes driving on public roads. By managing road safety that’s work related, employers can help to reduce the amount of road related incidents. This would mean that there is less absenteeism due to injuries, less costly repairs to vehicles and associated insurance costs, fewer incidences of people missing orders and the reduction in running costs. This driver safety course module has been designed to highlight awareness and refresh information regarding safety whilst driving at work.
WHO SHOULD TAKE THIS COURSE?
This training course is designed for anybody who drives a motor vehicle in their work activities. This course has been written with qualified drivers in mind, so it is not applicable to those who do not hold a valid UK driving license.
COURSE AND TIMINGS
The training course lasts approximately 30 minutes in total.
By the end of the course, you will have learnt:
- Understand the reasons for driving safely
- Be aware of both employers & employee’s responsibilities
- Be aware of the dangers of driving too fast
- Demonstrate understanding of different types of driving hazards and good driving practices.
